AN ACTION
A film by Annie Albagli with Wolfgang Nowak, translations by Monika Zobel. AN ACTION premiered at ZWICKL, the Bavarian Documentary Film Festival in November 2019.
An Action is a 27 minute non-fiction video, which follows lead archivist and resistance fighter, Wolfgang Nowak, as he visits sites pivotal to his community's fight throughout the 1980’s against a nuclear reprocessing plant, the WAA. An Action weaves recent and archival footage framed by Nowak’s awakening as a political activist. It provides an urgent depiction of a community who took control of their environment in the name of their wellbeing using inventive methods of protest both locally and nationally.
